Instead of using traditional, unsightly metal bands and brackets, the Invisalign® system employs clear plastic “aligners”. These aligners are worn for about two weeks at a time until the desired tooth movement has occurred, at which time the patient utilizes the next fitted aligner. This is continued until the teeth are in the correct position.

The main advantage of the clear aligners is straight teeth without the need for metal bands or brackets. In fact, it’s very hard to tell if someone is wearing these clear “braces” at all!
