Soft Tissue Laser

Here at Abby Dental Care in Vernon, Dr. Burrows and Dr. Bevans utilize an advanced soft tissue laser.

The soft tissue laser allows Dr. Burrows and Dr. Bevans to perform a wide variety of dental procedures more efficiently and effectively. Soft tissue laser technology in dentistry has become so important through incorporating precision into a number of common and not-so-common procedures. Dental soft tissue lasers can reshape gum tissue to expose healthier tooth structure; referred to as crown lengthening, such reshaping provides a stronger foundation for the placement of restorations.

Dental lasers can also reshape gum tissue to expose healthy tooth structure and improve the appearance of a gummy smile. A laser can also be utilized as an ideal treatment option for children who are tongue tied with a restricted or tight Frenulum, and for babies unable to breast feed adequately due to limited tongue movement.

A soft tissue laser may also be utilized by Dr. Burrows or Dr. Bevans to eliminate speech impediments. Dental lasers may be used for the painless and suture-free removal of soft tissue folds often caused by ill-fitting dentures.
